This place is situated in the center of Kaohsiung city and it's close to the convenient stores and night market. The station is called ' Formosa ' which means ' beautiful island ' in English. I chose this place because it seems to be a typical metro station but based on it's decoration on the wall and ceiling it became one of the must see places in Kaohsiung and also a travel destination for the foreigners. The hand drawn paintings are having a deep cultural meaning. It's an art that is not easy understandable and also can show the bright colors of the world. Many tourists and foreigners are visiting this metro station to take pictures and see the paintings. There are also some little souvenir stores and piano as display. Sometimes there are concerts to enjoy, unite and entertain the people at the metro station. Nobody would accept to decorate just a typical metro station as an art preview so it also might be an advantage for Kaohsiung metro stations.
